Job Description
Alliance Tool Hire is a fast-growing independent tool hire company with 10 branches across the South of England. We are looking for a dedicated Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) & Transport Manager to join our team and build on our safety-first culture.
This role is to be based from either our Mitcham, South London or Horsham, Sussex branch with travel across the depot network required for a minimum of 1-2 days per week.
Responsibilities
Transport
* Manage vehicle maintenance, servicing and repairs, oversee vehicle checks and respond to incidents, including liasing with insurance providers as required.
* Monitor transport costs, fuel usage, and driver performance to drive efficiency.
* Manage transport-related contracts and relationships with external providers, e.g. vehicle leasing companies, vehicle repair networks.
* Ensure compliance with transport legislation, and company health and safety policies and maintain our FORS accreditation.
Health & Safety
1. Develop and oversee the company’s health & safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.
2. Conduct regular internal audits, and support external audits, across our depot network and resolve any issues identified.
