Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Process Operator for the Hot End of our manufacturing facility in Harlow, Essex. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract (FTC) position, ideal for a reliable individual looking to gain valuable experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
* Operate and monitor hot end production equipment to ensure optimal performance and product quality
* Conduct regular quality checks and adjust process parameters as necessary
* Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to all health and safety regulations
* Record production data and complete necessary documentation accurately and efficiently
* Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and implement process improvements
* Perform routine maintenance tasks and report any equipment malfunctions promptly
* Participate in safety briefings and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment
We operate 24/7, 365 days a year, the shift pattern would be 6 on 2 off rotating through mornings, afternoons and nights after you have completed your initial training and safety sign off.
Qualifications
* Secondary education or equivalent; relevant vocational qualifications in manufacturing or engineering preferred
* Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in hot end processes
* Knowledge of hot end manufacturing processes and quality control procedures
* Proficiency in operating and monitoring production equipment
* Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting
* Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
* Experience with process control systems and equipment
* Understanding of glass or similar materials processing (if applicable to the specific industry)
* Ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends, as required
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
* Physical capability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks in a factory environment
