Overview
Mathematics Lecturer - (GCSE and Skills). 30 hours per week. Fixed Term - 31/07/26. We are seeking an excellent teacher with passion, enthusiasm and commitment to ensure the highest standards in the delivery of GCSE Mathematics, Essential Skills Application of Number and Agored qualifications to post-16 learners on full-time programmes.

Responsibilities
* Teach GCSE Mathematics, Essential Skills (Application of Number) and Agored qualifications to post-16 learners on full-time programmes.
* Prepare learners for assessment in collaboration with the Leader of Learning - Mathematics and inform curriculum area staff of learner progress.
* Develop and maintain a positive learning environment, build rapport with learners and colleagues, and manage a challenging workload.
* Engage in the recruitment process with a 45-minute micro-teach, an assessment and formal interview as part of the selection process.
Qualifications
* Honours degree in Mathematics (or a related subject).
* A level in Mathematics (grade A–C).
* PGCE/Cert. Ed. or willingness to attain one within a specified period.
Desirable/Skills
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise and coordinate a challenging workload.
* Motivated with the ability to quickly establish rapport with learners and colleagues.
* The ability to use Welsh at a basic level (or willingness to undertake training).
