About Waythrough
Waythrough was formed in 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship. Together, we’ve created one of the largest mental health and social support charities in England.
Every year, we support around 125,000 people through nearly 200 services – and it’s all made possible by our 3,500 brilliant staff and volunteers.
Make a real difference in your community
Are you passionate about helping others live safer, healthier, more independent lives? Join our team at Waythrough and support people facing challenges around mental health, substance use, housing or domestic abuse. This is more than just a job – it’s a chance to build meaningful relationships and create lasting change.
About the Role
Are you looking for a positive, challenging, and genuinely supportive environment? If so, we’d love to hear from you. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to grow their HR career in a forward-thinking organisation.
As an HR Advisor, you’ll work across a broad spectrum of Employee Relations (ER) cases and play a key role in developing managers’ confidence through HR-related training (full training provided). You’ll also be involved in varied project work including TUPE and redundancy activity.
You will bring a proactive, professional, and solutions-focused approach, quickly building credibility and strong collaborative relationships at all levels of the organisation.
Reporting to the Lead People Partner, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality HR services, working closely with the People Business Partner for your allocated operational area. Occasional travel to meetings and services will be required, so a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.
Key Responsibilities
1. Advisory Support: Provide clear, consistent HR advice across processes such as capability, disciplinary, grievance, TUPE, redundancy, and dismissal.
2. Employee Relations Casework: Manage a varied, and often complex ER caseload, ensuring compliance with employment law and internal policies, including attendance and performance matters.
3. Policy Implementation: Support the development and implementation of People policies, procedures, and practices aligned with current legislation and organisational objectives.
About You
You will ideally be CIPD-qualified or have an equivalent HR degree or relevant experience. You bring strong knowledge of employment legislation, excellent judgement, and a commitment to best practice in HR.
Join us at Waythrough, where your work will make a meaningful impact on the lives of the people we support. Apply today and become part of a dynamic, purpose-driven team making a real difference.
