Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services are currently recruiting for a Senior Electrician on behalf of a global CDMO organization.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment across the facility. The ideal candidate brings in-depth knowledge of industrial electrical systems, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to mentor junior electricians while ensuring compliance with safety and electrical codes.
Key accountabilities:
* Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems, machinery, and control panels in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
* Perform diagnostics and repairs on motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), electrical and instrumentation panels and automation equipment.
* Participate in the design and implementation of electrical and equipment upgrade projects.
* Read and interpret wiring diagrams, loop drawings, electrical schedules and schematics to identify and resolve electrical issues.
* Conduct regular preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
* Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with Company and British standards Mentor and support junior electricians and maintenance staff.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
* Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to support continuous improvement and efficiency goals.
* Respond to emergency maintenance requests and assist in root cause analysis.
Key requirements:
* Completion of a recognized electrician apprenticeship or technical program.
* Electrical City & Guilds or NVQ qualification
* Additional certifications in Automation systems are an advantage
* Proven experience with low-voltage systems, motor controls, and industrial automation.
* Strong background working with electrical distribution systems, UPS Systems, VFDs and distributed control systems or PLCs
* Deep understanding of electrical codes, industrial safety protocols, and lockout/tagout procedures.
* Knowledge of electrical installation rules in ATEX environments
