Technical Assurance Lead
Location: Jersey (or must travel to Jersey 3 times/month)
Contract: 21 months, Outside IR35
Rate: £500/day

A tech consultancy working on a government transformation programme is seeking a Technical Assurance Lead to provide independent review and validation of estimates, designs, and key technical decisions. This role ensures quality, coherence, and risk mitigation across multiple projects, supporting leadership in scope, cost, and technical decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and challenge supplier estimates for stories, epics, and requirements.
Assess technical designs and key design decisions for soundness and alignment to target architecture.
Ensure cross-programme consistency and manage technical dependencies.
Define and apply technical quality criteria; review documentation for gaps.
Support commercial, planning, and governance processes with independent technical input.
Coach internal teams to build long-term capability in technical assurance.
Requirements
Experience in testing, technical assurance, or similar roles.
Previous experience in tech consultancy and / or working with public sector is highly desirable
Must be UK or Ireland-based, willing to relocate or travel to Jersey 3 days per month.
Available to start early April 2026.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, architecture, and integration practices.
Proven ability to identify and manage technical risks, dependencies, and trade-offs.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical issues into clear business terms.
