We are looking for an experienced Senior BMS Engineer who has a dynamic and flexible approach to working with clients. This person needs to have excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team, supporting junior engineers and the office delivery function.
As a Senior BMS Engineer (Service and Commissioning) you need to have a flare and passion for the BMS industry. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to maintaining and servicing existing BMS systems, identifying and rectifying any faults or irregularities and ensuring all remedial and small projects are delivered successfully on time to specification, with the intention of always exceeding the client's expectations.
You will be required to offer clients opportunities for any upgrades or improvements to the control systems, delivering a fantastic and professional service to both new and existing clients.
This position requires substantial proactive field-based customer facing activity, focusing on quality, customer relationships and service delivery.
The Ideal candidate with have a strong, long-standing experience with Trend Control Products, with working experience on the current product range and pre-IQ4 series devices. AX and N4 Tridium Experience would be an advantage, ideally with Niagra 4 competency.
The role reports directly into the BEMS Service Manager and will be covering customer sites within the Healthcare, Leisure, Stadia and Education sectors.
This role has the opportunity for progression into engineering supervision and management. With the intention that the successful candidate will be looking to adapt and move into a supervisory level to allow for the growth and development of our business delivery model and support the BEMS Service Manager with delivering customer service excellence.
Key Reponsibilities
1. Attend customer sites to investigate and rectify faulty control systems, including field wiring, electrical control panels, GUI's and BMS controllers.
2. Carry out control panel modifications and installations as required.
3. Undertake service and maintenance of control systems on customer sites following detailed service schedules.
4. Conduct surveys on customer sites to provide quotations for additional works.
5. Attend sites as required to carry out Small Works Projects or Remedial Works.
6. Provide the customer with written reports detailing works carried out and highlight and detail any further works required to rectify faulty equipment.
7. Develop excellent customer relationships to consistently improve the service and contribute to their understanding of the equipment.
8. Ensure that the Company's Quality standard and other compliance standards are continually maintained and adhered to.
9. Supporting engineers with technical assistance and technical development.
10. Liaising closely with the Service Manager to deliver the expectations of our customers.
11. To advise clients on potential improvements, future proofing and recommendations for their system.
12. To provide and deliver supporting information and management discipline.
About You
You will be a highly skilled, commercially aware individual who is committed to producing a high standard of work. 13. Strong engineering background with a minimum of 5 years as a BEMS Service Engineer.
14. Solid experience of TREND hardware, networks and or Tridium control platforms.
15. C & G level 2 upwards or equivalent Electrical qualifications.
16. Able to demonstrate strong diagnostic skills on control problems.
17. Must have an excellent mechanical plant knowledge.
18. Happy to work within a team but also have a proactive approach working alone and managing your own time.
19. Have a keen interest in the integration of different systems.
20. Must have a full clean driving license.
21. Have an interest in energy management.
22. Excellent interpersonal skills, to motivate and influence at all levels.
23. The confidence to contribute, advise and challenge the status quo.
24. The ability to work effectively under pressure to tight deadlines.
