The role We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Release Engineer on a contract basis for 6 months to lead the release process for electrical components and technical documentation across multiple projects. In this key role, you’ll ensure all releases are accurate, compliant, and up to date while collaborating closely with engineering teams and external testing partners. Duties/Responsibilities Own the release of all electrical drawings and technical documentation, including DFMEAs, internal standards, SRSs, change requests, and reports Develop and implement component-level test procedures; coordinate with external test facilities and sign off on final reports Manage and maintain the Electrical Bill of Materials (BOM), including updates and revisions Oversee multiple concurrent projects and ensure alignment with ongoing engineering changes Provide subject matter expertise on release processes and ensure best practices are followed Verify that all technical data is accurate, complete, and up to date Evaluate cost implications of changes and present findings to senior leadership (director level) Personal Specification Experience in a release engineering role, preferably within the automotive or electrical engineering sector Strong knowledge of engineering documentation, test standards, and release processes Proven ability to manage complex BOMs and coordinate across multiple teams Excellent communication skills and a proactive, hands-on approach Familiarity with DFMEAs, SRSs, and other technical documentation Experience working with or managing external test facilities is a strong advantage PLEASE NOTE, WE DO NOT ACCEPT AGENCY APPLICATIONS
