As part of ourcontinued growth and evolution, we’re investing further in our Finance Team.We’re now on the lookout for a Management Accountant who can bringaccuracy, commercial insight, and financial control to help take us to the nextlevel. Requirements
* Monthly Management Accounts: Prepare accurateand timely monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balancesheet, and cash flow reports.
* Variance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis toexplain deviations from budget and forecast, providing insightful commentary tostakeholders.
* Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in thedevelopment of annual budgets and rolling forecasts to support businessplanning and decision-making.
* Cost Control: Monitor business costs and margins,identifying areas for improvement and supporting operational efficiencyinitiatives.
* Financial Reporting: Deliver financialperformance reports to internal stakeholders, ensuring clarity and actionableinsights are provided.
* Business Partnering: Work closely withdepartmental heads to support financial understanding, challenge assumptions,and guide decision-making.
* Month-End Close: Oversee and support the month-endclose process, ensuring all journals, accruals, and prepayments are accuratelyaccounted for.
* Audit & Compliance: Support externalauditors and ensure all compliance obligations and financial controls areadhered to.
* Process Improvement: Continuouslyidentify and implement improvements to financial processes and systems toenhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
To have theability to contribute to The Fuel Store’s success, you will need:
* Professional Experience: Proven experienceas a Management Accountant or similar role within a fast-paced, commerciallydriven environment.
* Qualifications: Fully qualified accountant (e.g.,ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
* Financial Systems Knowledge: Proficient inMicrosoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.) and experience with accountingsystems (e.g., Xero, Sage, NetSuite).
* Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret complexfinancial data and communicate findings clearly and concisely to non-financialstakeholders.
* Attention to Detail: High level ofaccuracy and diligence in all areas of financial reporting and analysis.
* Commercial Awareness: A strongunderstanding of financial performance drivers, particularly in an SME orgrowth business context.
* Organisation & Time Management: Ability to managemultiple deadlines and priorities with minimal supervision.
Along with havingthe right experience, a Fueller will have:
* Strong motivation to work in a fast-paced environment
* An understanding of or interest in emerging technologies,including AI-driven analytics to support data-informed decision-making
* Great aptitude for overcoming challenges with a naturallyinquisitive mind
