Specialist Teaching Assistant - SEN/SEMH (Full-Time)

£90 - £100 per day
Are you an experienced and passionate SEN professional looking for a rewarding new role? We are seeking Specialist Teaching Assistants to support children and young people with a wide range of additional needs, including:
Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)
Severe/Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (SEN/PMLD)
Communication & Interaction Needs
Complex Medical Needs
You will work on a 1:1 basis and with small groups, supporting pupils in both classroom and specialist settings.
Deliver high-quality support to pupils with diverse needs.
Implement tailored strategies to promote engagement, progress, and independence.
Support behaviour management using positive and proactive approaches.
Provide personal care and support with moving & handling (training provided if required).
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and wider school staff.
Previous experience working with children/young people with SEN
Confidence supporting pupils with SEMH, ASC, and/or complex needs
Willingness to provide personal care and moving/handling support
Full UK driving licence and access to transport (desirable due to school locations)
Must hold (or be willing to apply for) an Enhanced DBS
Team Teach/positive handling training desirable
Ongoing CPD and training opportunities
