Field Service Engineer – Essex/Cambridgeshire
Salary: £42,000 Base, 60K OTE | Day Shifts | Permanent
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our growing engineering team, covering customer sites across the Essex/Cambridge area. The role is ideal for an engineer with a strong industrial background, particularly in environments such as print, paper, recycling, plastics, injection moulding, or similar manufacturing sectors. Experience in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing is highly desirable, though strong engineers from other regulated or industrial environments are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
* Travel to customer sites across the Essex/Cambridge area and carry out planned and reactive maintenance on highly technical automated machinery.
* Work regular overtime as the role requires maintaining operational uptime.
* Use engineering expertise to identify, troubleshoot and resolve electrical and mechanical faults in industrial machinery.
Qualifications
* Multi‑skilled maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
* Electrical and mechanical fault‑finding experience.
* Engineering qualification (Electrical or Mechanical).
* Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
* Previous experience as a Maintenance or Service Engineer in the UK.
* Experience working on PLCs, including fault finding using inputs and outputs.
