Title: Manufacturing Engineer, Mid-Senior
Details:
* Status: Full-Time, Regular Salary, Non-Exempt
* Schedule: Monday - Friday, 0900hrs - 1700hrs EST
* Location: On-Site; Aberdeen, MD 21001
* Supervisory: No
Key Roles/Duties:
* Design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes and production line layouts using LEAN principles to enhance efficiency and productivity.
* Create and maintain SOPs for manufacturing processes, equipment operations, and quality standards.
* Analyze and optimize factory process flow to improve throughput and reduce waste.
* Identify and implement automation solutions to improve process efficiency.
* Maintain manufacturing equipment, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
* Develop production plans to meet customer demand with minimal downtime.
* Conduct inspections, audits, and quality checks to ensure product standards.
* Investigate defects and deviations, implementing corrective actions.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Train staff on safe manufacturing practices and equipment operation.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product designs into manufacturable solutions.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Provide technical support and troubleshooting.
* Support cost reduction through process improvements.
Basic Qualifications:
* Associates degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or related field.
* +3 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
* Experience with ERP systems.
* Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 or similar quality systems.
* Experience with CAD/CAM.
* Organized record-keeping skills.
* Ability to operate material handling equipment.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Qualifications:
* Certification such as CMfgE or CET.
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
* Experience with Lean Six Sigma or similar certifications.
* Experience with automation, robotics, or PLC programming.
* +6 years of relevant experience.
* Hands-on experience with production support and troubleshooting.
* Experience with ERP systems, simulation tools, and data analysis.
Travel:
* Minimal, less than 10% local travel.
