An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join The Yorkshire Clinic as the In-Patient Physiotherapy Team Leader.
We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated and flexible in their approach, and who is able to demonstrate excellent clinical leadership in the assessment and management of elective surgical patients.
Person-centred care and an approach which promotes enhanced recovery are at the centre of our philosophy.
You will be responsible for the day to day running of the Inpatient Services, providing assessment and intervention to a varied caseload ensuring high quality patient-centred care,
leading and supervising the learning and development junior physiotherapists and assistants.
The role will also require developing and implementing Quality Improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and experience, including review of key quality outcomes PROMS.
The In-patient activity at the Yorkshire Clinic ranges from Orthopaedic procedures to Urology, Gynaecology, Bariatric, General Surgery, Spinal and Cosmetics/Plastics.
At The Yorkshire Clinic we pride ourselves in quality outcomes and enhancing the patients experience through use of technology (robotic Knee Surgery) to undertaking Hip and Knee Arthroplasty Surgery as a day case.
The successful candidate will come with a clear vision to drive the in-patient physiotherapy services, further enhancing our patients experience and achieving the best outcomes.
There is an option for some out-patient clinical Musculoskeletal work as part of this role.
You will :
1. Relevant degree/qualification in physiotherapy with at least five years of experience of orthopaedic ward work and a MSK workload.
2. An understanding of Clinical Governance, the CSP’s Quality Assurance Standards and the HCPC Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics
3. The ability to demonstrate good clinical reasoning processes.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Experience in leading teams in driving quality outcomes.
6. Ability to review outcome data and drive changes for improvement.
7. The ability to plan, organise, prioritise and delegate.
8. The ability to work under pressure.
9. Be able to demonstrate relevant CPD activity.
10. Be fully computer literate and willing to use our electronic patient record system.
11. Be up to date as a Clinical Educator.
What you’ll bring with you
12. Relevant degree/qualification in physiotherapy
13. Current HCPC registration
14. Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
15. A commitment to support individuals and assist as necessary with activities of daily living including personal care/therapy, social, emotional, and recreational needs and aspirations.
