Asset Tool Care Technician Sector: Manufacturing Location: Norfolk Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm Salary: Competitive hourly rate, plus enhanced overtime ISQ Recruitment is recruiting for an Asset Tool Care Technician to join a well-established manufacturer in Norfolk. This is a hands-on technical role focused on the maintenance, repair, modification and refurbishment of specialist production tools and related equipment. The role plays an important part in keeping production running smoothly, reducing downtime and making sure tooling is maintained to the right standard. This is not a general maintenance role. The main focus is tool care, tool repair and refurbishment within a manufacturing environment. It would suit someone with experience in a toolroom, tooling, mechanical maintenance, precision engineering, mechanical fitting or a similar hands-on technical environment. Previous experience working with production tooling would be beneficial, but candidates with strong mechanical skills and a practical fault-finding approach will also be considered. What You’ll Be Doing Carrying out maintenance, inspections and repairs on specialist production tools and equipment Supporting tool installation, set-up, calibration, modification and refurbishment Diagnosing tooling faults and helping reduce production downtime Using mechanical tools, machining, cutting and measuring equipment Keeping accurate maintenance and repair records Working with tool care, production, engineering, planning and QHSE teams Maintaining a clean, safe and organised toolroom environment Following Health and Safety procedures and site working practices What We’re Looking For Essential Experience in tooling, toolroom, mechanical maintenance, precision engineering or a similar technical role Good mechanical understanding and practical fault-finding ability Confident using hand tools, measuring equipment and repair techniques Able to follow procedures and work safely Organised, reliable and able to keep accurate records Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Desirable Experience as a Tool Room Technician or similar Experience working with production tooling or specialist manufacturing equipment Engineering or technical qualification Experience with machining, cutting, tool repair or refurbishment Package: Competitive hourly rate Enhanced overtime rate 33 days holiday including bank holidays Life assurance Company pension with employer contribution How to Apply To apply, please send your CV or contact ISQ Recruitment on 01603 369 500 for more information.
