<div><h3>Maternity cover - Referral Veterinary Nurse (RVN) – Orthopaedic/Neurology Nurse (Bristol, Avonmouth)</h3><p>Are you an RVN with a particular interest in orthopaedic and/or neurology nursing? We are looking for you to join our specialist veterinary team at a brand-new referral centre!</p><p>We’re looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate individual who is interested in ward‑based nursing. The right candidate will join a team of nurses, auxiliaries and duty vets to deliver the highest standards of care for our patients.</p><p>You will be a registered and experienced nurse who is forward‑thinking, shows empathy and demonstrates exemplary teamwork.</p><p>The role will consist of 3 × 10‑hour days of mixed shifts between the surgical ward and procedures, including full induction, mentoring and support to enhance your skills in advanced nursing care. You will also participate in a bank holiday and weekend working rota.</p><h3>Neurology Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Ward‑based nursing providing inpatient care, including bladder expression, urinary catheter maintenance, physiotherapy and rehabilitation methods.</li><li>Neurological procedures such as assisting with surgery, EMG, cystometry, blood sampling and consultations.</li></ul><h3>Orthopaedic Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Ward‑based nursing providing inpatient care, including wound and bandage management, rehabilitation methods, pain monitoring, cryotherapy.</li><li>Orthopaedic procedures such as assisting with surgery, joint taps, X‑rays, bandage changes and consultations.</li></ul><p>Previous experience in referral nursing would be beneficial.
