Due to continued success and future business growth, we have exciting opportunities for Assistant Site Managers to join our developments in and around the Derby area. To be considered, you will have worked for a new homes developer as an Assistant Site Manager previously.
The Role

Key duties and requirements
* Our Assistant Site Managers are key to each development, managing the planning and implementation of the site build programme within our onsite construction functions.
* Duties include assisting in managing the construction function to ensure effective compliance, control, and deployment of the site, delivering the product on time, within budget, and to Avant Homes standards.
* Managing build activities to ensure the development is technically safe and meets quality standards.
* Supporting the Site Manager to oversee the development and maintain the build programme.
* Managing onsite labour and sub-contractor activities, ensuring health and safety standards are met.
* Communicating actively with customers and stakeholders.
* Promoting a customer-focused culture and a 'right first time' approach.
* Attending site sales and build meetings regarding plots and completions.
* Producing status reports and updates on KPIs related to construction and customer service.
Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will have experience as an Assistant Site Manager for a new homes developer, strong organisational and communication skills, and the ability to relate to staff and stakeholders. Flexibility and a positive attitude are essential.
Requirements include:
* A full UK driving licence.
* A relevant qualification or proven experience in Construction Management, with SMSTS being essential.
* Knowledge of construction processes and build programmes.
* Commercial awareness and understanding of relevant codes of practice (e.g., NHBC, Building Regs).
* Technical knowledge related to construction activities and design management regulations.
