Overview
Open Spaces is a growing multidisciplinary practice, based near Chelmsford, specialising in landscape architecture, tree and ecology consultancy. We deliver a broad range of projects, from small residential developments to large-scale housing, commercial, and educational schemes.
We are seeking a Post Graduate Landscape Architect to join our landscape team. You will manage your own workload, liaise with clients and the wider design team, and contribute to a variety of landscape projects. You will either be working towards, or currently undertaking, the Landscape Institute Pathway to Chartership (LI P2C), with full support and mentoring provided throughout the process.
Key responsibilities
* Produce high-quality reports, specifications, and detailed plans
* Manage your own time, deadlines, and deliverables effectively
* Provide input and assistance on Landscape and Visual Appraisals (LVA) and Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA)
* Contribute to Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) assessments and reporting
* Proficiency in relevant design software, including AutoCAD
* Strong written and spoken communication skills
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own transport
* Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. Photoshop, InDesign)
* Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn)
