In this context, we’re looking for a Communications Manager to join our Corporate Affairs team and work closely with colleagues across the business. This is a pivotal role, shaping high‑impact communications, strengthening our external voice, and supporting the delivery of strategic objectives across supply chain development, business development and leadership visibility. We’ll need you to: Lead media relations activity, delivering compelling stories across trade, technical and mainstream channels, while managing press office operations including out‑of‑hours response, monitoring, and evaluation. Develop and deliver communications that support UK and international supply chain growth and business development priorities. Support the protection and enhancement of our company reputation through proactive issues management, risk monitoring, and high‑quality content creation. Work directly with senior leaders to elevate their external profiles and amplify thought‑leadership opportunities. A full role description is available on request. You’ll bring: A degree (or equivalent) in Communications, Journalism, PR or a related discipline, or demonstrable professional experience. Strong experience in media relations, stakeholder engagement, and delivering strategic communications across diverse audiences. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to craft impactful messaging. Experience supporting senior stakeholders and managing reputational issues in sensitive or high‑profile environments. We’ll ask you about your experience shaping media coverage, managing issues, and delivering strategic content. This role can be based in Derby, Manchester, or Warrington, with hybrid working and regular weekly attendance expected.
