Job Title: Dance Teacher (Maternity Cover) – KS3 to KS5 Location: London Borough of Lewisham Start Date: After October Half Term 2025 Contract Type: Maternity Cover Working Pattern: 0.8fte (4 days per week – Thursday off) The Opportunity: We are seeking a passionate and qualified Dance Teacher to join a thriving secondary school from after October half term. This is a fantastic opportunity to cover a maternity leave and make a real impact on students’ learning across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. Key Responsibilities: * Deliver outstanding Dance lessons across KS3–KS5, following the curriculum and departmental schemes of work. * Plan and prepare creative, challenging and inclusive lessons that engage students of all abilities. * Assess, record and report on student progress, ensuring high standards of achievement. * Contribute to extra-curricular opportunities in Dance and Performing Arts. * Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and resources. What We’re Looking For: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification. * Experience teaching Dance across KS3, KS4 and ideally KS5. * Strong subject knowledge with the ability to inspire and engage young people. * Excellent classroom management and communication skills. * Commitment to raising standards and supporting student progress.
