Finance Systems Manager - D365
Location: United Kingdom – available in Aberdeen, Glasgow, Manchester, London, Belfast.
Job Overview
The Finance Systems Manager acts as the bridge between finance and IT, ensuring financial systems are optimized, accurate, and aligned with business needs. This role focuses on maintaining, improving, and implementing financial systems, supporting reporting and compliance, and driving automation and efficiency across finance processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Own and manage the roadmap for Dynamics 365 Finance, including the rollout for all entities, ensuring it reflects business priorities and technical dependencies.
* Translate business requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria, particularly across modules such as Fixed Assets, Expenses, Order Management, and Advanced Bank Reconciliation.
* Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring the solution meets business needs and regulatory requirements.
* Identify and elevate system quality issues, working with technical teams to drive resolution.
* Support change management and training initiatives to improve adoption and reduce reliance on external support.
* Champion continuous improvement and best practices in product ownership and agile delivery.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
* Qualified accountant.
* Certifications – MB-300 and MB-310 (or equivalent experience) preferred.
Skills & Experience
* Deep understanding of Dynamics 365 Finance core modules and configuration.
* Experience with financial reporting tools and BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau) and knowledge of integrations and data flows between finance and other business systems.
* Advanced Excel (pivot tables, macros, data analysis); familiarity with SQL or basic database queries; understanding of automation tools (RPA) and workflow solutions.
* Experience with SAP (BPC) and Rosetta.
* Project management – experience in system implementation, upgrades, or migration projects; ability to manage timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables.
* Business process analysis – ability to map, challenge, and improve finance processes.
* Stakeholder engagement – skilled in managing cross‑functional relationships and facilitating workshops.
* Agile delivery – experience in backlog management, sprint planning, and iterative delivery.
* Data‑driven insight – proficiency in using Power BI and DevOps to track progress and inform decisions.
* Integration awareness – understanding of CPQ, service tenant provisioning, and system interfaces.
* Regulatory knowledge – familiarity with compliance requirements such as MTD, audit trails, and security roles.
* Change management – ability to support training, super‑user enablement, and adoption strategies.
* Attention to detail – strong focus on data accuracy, system configuration, and quality assurance.
