Seclusion Manager – Newcastle Secondary School
Salary: £110–£120 per day

We’re working with a secondary school in Newcastle looking for a firm but fair Seclusion Manager to lead their internal behaviour unit. It’s a key role, offering structured support to students removed from lessons—helping them reset, reflect, and reintegrate.
Your role will involve:
* Managing the day-to-day running of the seclusion room
* Supporting pupils with behaviour, emotional regulation, and de-escalation
* Working closely with pastoral teams, safeguarding leads, and SLT
* Keeping accurate records, following school policies, and maintaining high expectations
You’ll be a good fit if you:
* Have experience with behaviour management (PRUs, SEMH, pastoral or mentoring roles)
* Stay calm, consistent, and solution-focused—even in high-pressure moments
* Can balance authority with empathy
* Understand the importance of structure, fairness, and follow-through

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
