We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Lead to join our team at our supported living service in the City of Redcar.
Reporting to the Deputy Manager, the purpose of a Service Lead is to lead a cluster of support services that provide an agreed level of support to the people we support, helping them achieve their individual goals and lead full, productive lives as valued members of their community.
The Service Lead will be responsible for managing 2 supported living services and a small outreach service in the absence of the Manager within Redcar.
You will handle tasks such as completing rotas, staff supervision, attending reviews with People we Support, updating support plans and risk assessments, conducting medication and finance audits, and ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed with support from the Manager.
We seek someone with creative experience to act as a role model for staff teams and to take responsibility for the daily operations of the service. Responsibilities include participating in team meetings and reviews, ensuring medication procedures and activity timetables are maintained, supporting service users appropriately, and undertaking managerial duties that contribute to overall service management. You will also support on-shift when needed to meet the needs of the people we support. Working hours are flexible, potentially including evenings and weekends.
You will play a key role in assessing service users and developing Person Centred Plans, facilitating staff participation in their implementation.
You will need to be flexible and able to work various shift patterns including evenings, weekends, and sleepovers. You will spend approximately 80% of your hours on shift and 20% on administrative tasks, with the possibility of working 100% on shift as needed.
Requirements include Level 3 in health and social care, with a driver’s license being desirable. Experience in leading a staff team is advantageous.
Essential experience includes:
* Demonstrable experience working with people with learning disabilities in an enabling environment.
* Commitment to Person Centred Care principles.
* Understanding of the needs of relevant service user groups such as Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, Complex Care, Autism, etc.
