Purpose of Role: Weir Minerals Europe is seeking to appoint a finance professional to the role of Management/Cost Accountant for the manufacturing business. Reporting to the Senior Director Finance Operations.
The role has a focus on supporting the finance, operations and commercial management teams, ensuring that the business delivers profitable growth in line with its strategic initiatives. Strong system, communication and analytical skills are essential as is having a continuous improvement outlook and being motivated to work on their own initiative.

Key Responsibilities:
* Financial Performance & Operational Analysis: Prepare and analyze monthly operational results, collaborating with manufacturing and supply chain teams to explain purchasing price variances and production performance variances. Deliver actionable insights that support cost control, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making across multiple manufacturing sites.
* Costing, Inventory & Master Data Management: Lead product costing reviews and updates across several European manufacturing locations. Manage product master data and SAP condition tables, including mark-ups, freight burden, and recovery rates. Oversee annual stock-take procedures and booking adjustments, and ensure appropriate SLOB (Slow Moving and Obsolete) provisions in coordination with the Planning team.
* Cross-Functional Financial Support & Business Partnering: Provide financial support to engineering, supply chain, operations, and sales teams. Assist in pricing decisions with detailed costing analysis, support capital expenditure (capex) investment appraisals, and contribute to working capital improvement initiatives. Act as a trusted finance partner across departments to drive performance and accountability.
* Systems, Reporting & Compliance: Participate in SAP improvement initiatives and business process enhancements. Improve reporting capabilities using Power BI and other tools to enhance visibility and decision-making. Ensure compliance with internal policies and the Weir Group Code of Conduct, and support external reporting requirements including National Statistics and audit processes. Handle ad-hoc financial duties as needed.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
* Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA)with over 2 years of post-qualification experience in manufacturing or operations-based environments.
* Proficient in ERP systems, particularly SAP, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and the broader MS Office suite.
* Strong analytical mindsetwith a natural affinity for numbers; adept at identifying trends, solving problems, and delivering data-driven insights.
* Excellent communication skillsin both written and spoken English, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
* Collaborative and self-motivated, thrives in team settings while also capable of working independently to meet objectives.
