Job Title: Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager Location: South East (covering Kent to Hampshire) Working Hours: 37 hours per week (Hybrid working approx. 3 days on-site, 2 days remote) Overview: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) Manager to join a forward-thinking organisation at a pivotal time of environmental change and infrastructure development. This is a regional leadership role, managing a team of three advisors across the South East and playing a key part in driving performance, engagement, and continuous improvement in health, safety, and wellbeing standards. Key Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day leadership and management of a team of HSW Advisors. Support the Head of Department in delivering the HSW strategy and ensuring alignment with organisational objectives. Act as a role model, promoting core values, safety culture, and behavioural excellence. Take ownership of HSW risks and hazards and ensure they are managed in line with the organisations Safety Management System. Champion continuous improvement in HSW performance using a combination of leading and lagging indicators. Strengthen the quality and effectiveness of incident investigations and root cause analysis. Build and maintain productive relationships with internal stakeholders, supply chain partners, and external regulators. Participate in the HSW on-call rota to provide 24/7 incident response support on a rotational basis. Requirements: NEBOSH Diploma (Level 6) or equivalent is essential. Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH) is desirable. Proven experience in a health and safety leadership role, ideally within the utilities or infrastructure sector. Experience managing teams and coaching staff to improve performance. Strong working knowledge of risks associated with chemical and toxic gas environments. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across the South East.
