Role: Business Development Officer.
Location: The Wellington Hospital, St Johns Wood, London.
Full time 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on site.
Permanent.
Salary: Depending on experience.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement efficient processes for onboarding new consultants, including handling all administrative tasks, coordinating training, and supporting ongoing issue resolution.
* Support the Business Development team by liaising with consultants, consultant secretaries, and internal departments during onboarding.
* Ensure timely setup of consultant systems, including logins, email, CWS diaries, Patient Keeper, Meditech, HCA web profiles and other relevant platforms.
* Provide training and support to consultants and their secretaries to improve engagement and optimise system usage, including delivering face‑to‑face sessions when needed.
* Monitor and improve consultant onboarding experiences, identifying areas for process enhancement and increased efficiency.
* Coordinate updates to internal databases, project plans, and stakeholders on consultant onboarding progress.
* Resolve system‑related issues for consultants promptly and escalade as necessary.
* Prepare regular reports on progress, gaps, and opportunities related to consultant onboarding and engagement.
* Assist with other Business Development projects as directed.
Qualifications
* Educated to degree level; if you do not have a degree or healthcare related qualification, a background in business, sales and/or sales administration is important. Exceptional candidates that do not have a degree will be considered based on other relevant experience and a demonstrable track record of delivery.
* Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise and work in a fast‑paced environment.
* Excellent experience in providing administration support, building good relationships easily, and working collaboratively with colleagues and customers.
* Great attention to detail and ability to work well in a team as well as on your own initiative.
* Outstanding communication skills are paramount as you will constantly be communicating with internal and external customers.
