JOB ADVERT - Deputy Practice Manager/Operations
Due to increased demand, we are looking for a Deputy Practice Manager/Operations to join our friendly Practice family. Oswald Medical Centre is an award-winning Practice serving over 16,000 patients. We are based across 3 sites in Accrington, Oswaldtwistle, and Blackburn. We pride ourselves on providing caring services and offer a range of standard NHS and enhanced services, including minor surgery.
The Practice has an extensive clinical team comprising: 4 GP Partners, 1 Salaried GP, 3 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, 3 Practice Nurses, 1 Nurse Associate, and 2 Healthcare Assistants. Supporting our Clinical Team is a large Administrative Team, including a dedicated Pharmacy Technician who heads up our in-house Prescribing Hub.

Main duties of the job
Support the Business Manager and Practice Manager in all aspects of practice functionality, motivating and managing staff, optimizing efficiency, and ensuring the practice achieves its long-term strategic objectives in a safe and effective working environment.
Manage and coordinate all aspects of practice functionality, including staff management, patient services, premises, and health and safety management.
Support the team in promoting ED&I (Equality, Diversity & Inclusion), SHEF (Safety, Health, Environment & Fire), quality, continuous improvement, confidentiality, collaborative working, service delivery, learning, and development, ensuring compliance with CQC regulations.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Good standard of education with excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
* GCSE Grade A-C in English and Maths
* Experience working with the general public
* Experience in a healthcare setting
* Educated to A-level/equivalent or higher with relevant experience
* Leadership and/or management qualification
* Experience managing multidisciplinary teams
* Experience with performance management, including appraisals, staff development, and disciplinary procedures
* Experience developing and implementing projects successfully
* NHS/Primary Care general practice experience
* Relevant health & safety experience
