The client is a leading printing and mail company that produces business continuity and security print solutions for several industry sectors, such as insurance, retail, banking, and utility.
They are recruiting for a Maintenance Operative to join their team in the Droitwich area. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and fixing faults on printing and mailing machines and associated equipment to ensure production machinery is running at optimal performance and production targets are met.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive mechanical maintenance across the site.
* Repair of mailing and printing machinery and other associated equipment within the facility.
* Maintain, support, and service any piece of production-associated equipment, such as mailers, guillotines, folding machinery, and book makers.
* Liaise with production management on machine performance, problems, and improvements.
* Promote continuous improvement.
* Be a proactive member of the team.
* Maintain correct administration of parts usage.
* Ensure all maintenance works and tasks are logged correctly.
Skills and experience required:
* Minimum of 2 years working in a maintenance role within a fast production environment.
* Strong mechanical and electrical skills - able to read both mechanical and electrical drawings.
* Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
* Proactive and a sound problem solver.
* Team player.
* Computer literate.
* Able to pass a DBS check.
