Associate Director - Commercial Facilities Management
Location: Central London
Salary: Up to £70,000
We’re working with one of the UK’s most respected property companies, known for their high-quality service, landmark portfolios, and excellent staff retention.
They are currently seeking an Associate Director to join their Commercial Facilities Management team on a permanent basis.
About the Role
The Associate Director will lead a team in the strategic management of a commercial property portfolio in a prime central location, serving a diverse mix of clients and occupiers. This senior role requires a proven leader capable of delivering operational excellence, overseeing high-performing teams, and ensuring a premium occupier experience across all sites. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, portfolio management expertise, and the ability to manage complex priorities while maintaining clear and effective communication with multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure professional management of building amenities and occupier satisfaction.
* Oversee procurement, supplier contracts, KPI performance, and invoice validation.
* Manage reactive and planned maintenance, health & safety compliance, and permit controls.
* Conduct regular inspections, manage minor works, and support M&E projects.
* Liaise with occupiers, staff, and contractors to ensure smooth building operations.
* Support service charge budgets, FM strategies, team cover, and accreditation standards.
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
* 5+ years' FM experience with strong understanding of Managing Agent roles and diverse portfolios.
* Skilled in soft/hard services, contract management, and health & safety compliance.
* Knowledge of ESG, sustainability, and landlord-tenant relations in commercial property.
* Experience in community engagement, events, and place-making.
* Proven team leadership, including appraisals and line management.
* IOSH qualified; NEBOSH and IWFM membership desirable.
* Professional, self-motivated, adaptable communicator with strong organisational skills.
