Accounts Assistant
Morgan Hunt is working with a Regulatory body who are recruiting for an Accountants Assistant. This position is for someone who has an Accountant qualification or part qualified with good communication skills and experience working in an accounts or finance team. This 12 month contract hybrid role based in Birmingham is paying up to £14.28 PAYE.
Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant:
1. Processing and monitoring the purchase ledger
2. Processing and monitoring the sales ledger
3. Cash and bank reconciliations
4. Preparation of weekly supplier and staff expenses payment runs
5. Competition of month end accountancy tasks such as journal preparation and posting to ledger
6. setting up new suppliers and customers
7. year end accounts and audit preparation to support the financial controller
8. communicating with internal and external stakeholders including the bank, budget holders, suppliers and customers
Previous Skills and Experience of the Accountants Assistant :
9. Accountancy qualification or part qualification ( AAT )
10. Experience of working in accounts or finance team
11. Good IT skills including experience of excel
12. Oracle experience preferred
13. Good record keeping and organisation skills
14. Good team working skills
15. Strong communication skills with stakeholders
