Above The Bay is a busy Events and Leisure business with a restaurant, bar and terrace. We operate a packed calendar of weddings, band nights, comedy, corporate days and private celebrations. On any given week we can be plating 150-cover banquets back to back over a weekend while running an all-day menu for hungry golfers and local dinersso every service is different and the pace is fast.
The role
High-volume functions weddings, Awards dinners, Golfing events, gala dinners (30 250 covers), Music Nights etc.
Restaurant service breakfast rolls to refined evening specials.
Golf-day F&B halfway-house snacks, BBQs, carveries.
People leadership assisting with coaching CDPs, JCDPs and Commis, managing rotas, ensuring HACCP compliance.
Menu input seasonal menu planning, costing, allergen management.
What we're looking for
At least two years experience at Sous Chef level (hotel, events centre, premium pub, resort or similar).
Proven ability to juggle banqueting and -la-carte service simultaneously.
Natural leader who motivates teams and keeps calm when the tickets keep coming.
Strong grasp of stock control, GP, hygiene and allergen legislation.
Full UK right to work; own transport desirable if were outside major public-transport routes.

£34,500 per year (paid monthly)
Tips - Dependent of hours worked
Hours-48 hrs per week, mainly straight shifts with some splits for big events
