Key Responsibilities
As a Tim Hortons Restaurant Shift/Floor Manager, you will support the Restaurant Manager with responsibilities including:
* Lead by example and treat customers as a top priority; maintain a customer-focused approach across restaurant operations.
* Accurate staff scheduling that meets customer demand and supports the team.
* Support the team to maintain operational efficiency; conduct regular store walks from the customer perspective.
People
* Encourage staff to share suggestions and concerns; provide feedback on performance and set goals.
* Foster a positive team environment where all employees are treated with dignity and respect and free from discrimination.
* Performance management where necessary, working with the HR Department.
Driving Sales
* Understand sales, popular products, peak trade times and adjust accordingly.
* Ensure products are merchandised at appropriate levels and aligned with marketing campaigns.
* Coach employees on up-selling and suggestive selling; continuously seek opportunities for improvement based on incentives.
Operations
* Monitor KPIs such as sales, employee turnover, food safety and Health & Safety standards.
* Maintain composure under pressure, manage weekly stock orders, and check incoming orders for quality.
* Oversee maintenance schedules for equipment and ensure optimal inventory, opening/closing procedures, and cleanliness.
* Maintain health and safety programs and promptly report accidents or incidents to the Regional Manager.
* Be available to work a variety of shifts as part of the management team.
Key Requisites
* Previous experience running restaurants.
* Flexible and disciplined approach to work; good numeracy and literacy.
* Experience in a food environment is advantageous but not essential.
* Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
* Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety; experience handling customer complaints; adheres to Health and Safety procedures.
