Deputy Flying Start Parenting Lead

We are currently seeking an empathetic, compassionate & driven individual to join our dynamic and friendly team at Flying Start Parenting.
Flying Start is a Welsh Government-funded initiative which seeks to target support for pre-school children and their families within identified areas, and to deliver specific outcomes for children. In Neath Port Talbot, our mission is to help families give their children the best possible start in life.
We are currently recruiting a Deputy Flying Start Parenting Lead to work under the supervision of the Parenting Lead within our multi-agency Flying Start Team. This role involves supporting the ongoing development and delivery of parenting services across NPT, with a particular focus on strengthening best practices among Parenting Workers.
The successful candidate with be supporting staff who work with parents with varying complex needs. As a Deputy Flying Start Parenting Lead you will demonstrate approachability and empathy in supporting and safeguarding the team of workers to best support families safely and effectively with a strong sense of moral purpose. The post holders will need to demonstrate strong leadership skills and bring their energy and innovative ideas to represent our core values to our stakeholders, with particular focus on positive parenting outcomes.
The post holder will need proven leadership experience or a relevant leadership/management qualification. A deep understanding of working with families facing challenges, and how best to safeguard and support staff. About you:
Do you have:
1. Minimum of Level 4 qualification or equivalent in relevant discipline
2. Significant and practical experience of working with families with multiple and complex needs
3. A commitment to improving services for children and their families/carers, and a person-centred approach.
