Main Responsibilities
· To construct packaging to agreed company specifications prior to filling and line with a plastic bag.
· To pack products from any of the production lines
· To continuously monitor the visual quality of products as they are packed rejecting any defective product and alerting any line Operator immediately.
· To seal packaging, label, number, palletise and partially stretch wrap
· To carry out the reprocessing and/or disposal of reject product as instructed.
· To monitor and adjust specific items of equipment as instructed.
· To keep work areas clean and tidy.
· To ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with company safety procedure Health and Safety legislation and Environmental policy.
Thermoforming packers should be signed off against each task and to be fully competent to carry out each part as stipulated in the Production Operative Task Analysis for this grade.
Additional Responsibilities
· To assist in un-jamming damaged product from machinery when authorised by line Operator or above to do so.
· To assist operator as instructed
· To undertake work of a similar nature to any of the above duties when instructed to do so.
· To give on-the-job training to inexperienced personnel assigned to the line.
