A welcoming and supportive primary school in Woking is seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to join their team on a maternity cover contract starting in April.

About the Role
As the Primary Teacher on maternity cover, you will take responsibility for a class, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that support pupils academic and personal development. You will work closely with colleagues to ensure continuity of learning and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
The role is suited to teachers with experience or interest in Key Stage 1, depending on the schools needs.

Responsibilities:
* Deliver pre-planned lessons across KS1
* Confidently manage classroom behaviour using positive strategies
* Adapt quickly to different school settings and routines
* Ensure a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment
* Build strong working relationships with pupils and staff
* Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times
Requirements - To apply, you must have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Recent UK teaching experience within a primary school
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* A strong understanding of the primary curriculum
* A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
* Ability to commute to Woking
Desirable Experience:
* Teaching experience across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2
* Ability to adapt lessons to meet different learner needs
* Experience supporting SEND pupils
* Strong communication and organisational skills
