Senior Engineering Geologist
Location: Aberdeen
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
The Role
You’ll play a key role in delivering ground investigation and geoenvironmental projects across sectors such as offshore wind, onshore wind, and wider infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
* Planning, managing, and interpreting ground investigations for renewables schemes
* Producing factual and interpretative geotechnical and geoenvironmental reports
* Supervising site works including drilling, sampling, and logging
* Providing geological and geotechnical input into design (foundations, earthworks, slope stability)
* Supporting offshore and onshore project delivery where required
* Mentoring junior engineers and geologists
* Liaising with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams
Requirements
* Degree in Engineering Geology, Geology, or a related discipline
* Strong industry experience in a similar role (typically 5+ years)
* Experience working on infrastructure or energy/renewables projects
* Solid understanding of ground investigation and reporting
* Experience supervising site works and managing projects
* Working towards or holding Chartered status (GeolSoc/ICE) is desirable
* Full UK driving licence
