Smile Education Northwest is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a secondary-aged student with additional needs (ASC/ADHD/SEMH). This is a long-term opportunity to make a real impact and grow your experience in a supportive, specialist environment.
Role Overview:
* Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)
* Location: Stockport
* Start: Immediate
* Contract: Long-term, full-time (with permanent opportunities available)
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 classroom and intervention support to a student with ASC and ADHD
* Implement effective de-escalation techniques and emotional regulation strategies
* Collaborate with class teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and parents/carers
* Support the student’s academic, emotional and social development
Requirements:
* Experience supporting young people with SEN / ASC / ADHD / SEMH
* Level 2 TA qualification or a relevant degree preferred
* A driving licence and willingness to obtain business insurance
* Resilient, empathetic, and calm under pressure
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
