Primary Teaching Assistant
* Location: Ashington
* Salary: £85 - £100 per day
* Contract: Full Time, Temporary to Permanent
GSL Education are seeking proactive and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistants to work in primary schools in Ashington.
Job Summary: Primary Teaching Assistants play a vital role in supporting teachers and students in the primary phase, assisting with educational activities, providing pastoral care, and helping to create a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities of a Primary Teaching Assistant:
* Support teachers in delivering lessons and implementing educational activities.
* Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils to reinforce learning.
* Assist with the organization of classroom resources and materials.
* Foster positive relationships with students to support their well-being and progress.
Requirements to be a Primary Teaching Assistant:
* Previous experience working in a school setting or relevant qualifications.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A patient and empathetic approach to working with children.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Please note: This role of Primary Teaching Assistant requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful candidates must satisfy all background checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
