We're looking for an Engineer to join our Highways Design team based in Salford.

Hours: 40 hours per week – some flexibility available.
What will you be responsible for?
As Engineer, you will support the Civil Engineering team on the National Highways Scheme Delivery Framework contract by producing highways designs, drawings, reports and documentation in accordance with the brief, timescales and budgetary allocation.
Your Day To Day Will Include
- Preparing preliminary and detailed designs in accordance with approved design procedures for local and national authorities, supporting the Senior Engineer on various duties including design schedules, health, safety, and welfare contract documentation, and Design drawings.
- Delivering technical and feasibility studies that satisfy client technical specifications.
- Assessing potential risks, materials, and costs, complying with Kier's and client guidelines and regulations, conducting site investigations, analysing data and producing technical files as required.
- Contributing to technical excellence and innovation, providing innovative solutions, complying with Kier's SHEMS and KDTS IMS, agreeing delivery targets and reporting progress, and mentoring junior staff.
- Maintaining good relations with clients and authorities, attending meetings, promoting health & safety and setting a good example for other employees.
What are we looking for?
- A member of a professional body with IEng / CEng status or working towards it.
- Competent and strong working knowledge of civil engineering design software, e.g. AutoCAD.
