Responsibilities:
1. Hit the ground running as the appointed planning partner.
2. Oversee a team of talented planning lawyers, ensuring their growth and development.
3. Provide expert guidance on a wide range of planning matters, from residential to commercial developments, in both private and public sectors.
4. Develop and execute strategic plans to ensure clients receive high-quality legal advice and representation.
5. Collaborate closely with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
6. Work closely with the partnership, especially the real estate team.
7. Prepare a strategic business plan as part of the recruitment process, outlining growth strategies for the planning team.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Qualified solicitor with at least 10 years PQE and a strong background in planning law in both private and public sectors.
2. Ideally a current partner in a law firm seeking the next career challenge.
3. Demonstrate leadership skills and the ability to inspire and manage a team across multiple locations.
4. Exceptional problem-solving and negotiation skills, committed to high ethical standards.
5. Technically proficient in planning, highways, and environmental law.
