Sales Ledger Clerk - Scunthorpe – Hybrid - £29,000 Chase & Holland are recruiting exclusively for a successful, growing group of companies based in Scunthorpe who are looking for a Sales Ledger Clerk for a minimum 3-month assignment. The role has the potential of going permanent for the right person who proves themselves. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sales Ledger Clerk to showcase their skills and make a difference in a great company. Key responsibilities will include: Raising and issuing sales invoices and credit notes Preparing and issuing statements Monitor debtor accounts for non-payments and sending overdue payment letters as part of the weekly debt chasing on the different entities Setting up and maintaining customer accounts on the Finance system Update Sales Ledger accounts with notes and evidence Allocate payments on the Finance system Investigate and resolve customer queries and resolve discrepancies Account reconciliations where needed Preparing paperwork and liaising with legal for any nonpayment on accounts Preparing weekly debtors report Running of monthly reports as part of the Month end closedown Providing new company credit checks on an ad hoc basis and reviewing annually VAT reclaim issues due to incorrect VAT codes The ideal candidate will have: Experience of Sales Ledger/ Accounts Receivable/ Credit Control Knowledge of VAT in terms of ensuring cor...
