KS1 Teacher

Contract: Full-time, Temporary (February 2026 – December 2026)

Talent Education is proud to be supporting a friendly, inclusive, and well-regarded 2-form entry primary school in Oldham in their search for a dedicated Key Stage 1 Teacher. This role is to cover a maternity leave starting after February half-term and will be on a full-time basis until July 2026.
About the role:

Teaching a KS1 class within a supportive and collaborative team
*
Planning, delivering, and assessing engaging, inclusive lessons aligned with the National Curriculum
*
Creating a positive, nurturing classroom environment that supports both academic progress and personal development
*
Working closely with colleagues, support staff, and parents/carers to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
*
Taking part in staff meetings, CPD opportunities, and wider school life as required
Candidate requirements:
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification
*
Recent experience teaching within KS1 (desirable)
*
Strong classroom management and organisational skills
*
A reflective, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach to teaching
*
A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE)
*
An enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)

Availability to work full-time from February to July 2026
Pay:
£120 – £180 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
