About the Role
As a Continuous Improvement Manager within our Caerphilly branch, you will be responsible for day-to-day management and delivery of our responsive repair service in the Cardiff location. Responsible for meeting all Key Performance Indicators and delivering innovation and continuous improvement within your areas of responsibility. You will oversee operatives and subcontractors.
Responsibilities include:
1. Monitoring and controlling all work undertaken within a geographical or property type contract area, including pre- and post-inspections as required.
2. Mentoring Operatives and Trainees to ensure all Health & Safety guidelines are met.
3. Monitoring progress and completion of works from Operatives and Subcontractors within the requirements of the contract terms.
4. Managing the use of Operatives and Subcontractors to ensure compliance with company standards of work performance, customer service, and Health & Safety procedures.
5. Maximizing contract performance against KPIs, minimizing default notices and penalties, and ensuring high levels of customer service to achieve contract value.
Role Criteria:
1. Experience working in Social Housing.
2. Experience supervising Operatives and Subcontractors.
3. Knowledge of Repairs and Maintenance.
4. Excellent communication skills.
5. People management skills.
6. Negotiating skills.
7. Trade, management, or health and Safety qualifications are desirable.
Candidates should be aware that all roles are subject to relevant DBS/Security checks either before or upon employment commencement.
To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be over 21, have held your license for over 3 months, and have fewer than 9 points.
