About the Role
The role is well-suited to someone looking to deepen their experience in both design and planning, supporting projects from inception through to delivery. You'll be part of a collaborative, multi-skilled team and have the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of development and landscape projects.
The successful applicant will:
* Be a qualified Landscape Architect (or on the Pathway to Chartership)
* Have experience or strong interest in Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA), strategic masterplanning, landscape capacity studies, and design for planning
* Work on all stages of development, producing high-quality documentation and supporting planning applications
Key Responsibilities:
* Produce and coordinate technical drawings, reports, and landscape planning documents across various project phases
* Prepare LVIA and supporting reports to aid planning applications
* Contribute to feasibility studies, design strategies, and masterplans
* Support the coordination of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)
* Liaise with planning authorities and stakeholders to support project delivery
* Assist with project management and coordination tasks, including policy research and documentation preparation
* Work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Required Qualifications & Skills:
* Degree in Landscape Architecture
* Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience
* Chartered membership of the Landscape Institute or working towards it (Pathway to Chartership)
* Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills
* Strong design and graphic presentation skills using:
* VectorWorks (preferred) or AutoCAD
* SketchUp
* Microsoft Office 365
Preferred Experience:
* Proven experience delivering work for LVIAs and planning applications
* Ability to integrate climate resilience and placemaking principles into design
* Knowledge of the planning process and strategic development projects in the UK
* Experience supporting bids, proposals, and client-facing documentation
