At Parkdean Resorts, we’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic and safety-focused Assistant Activity & Leisure Manager to join our vibrant team! If you thrive in a fast-paced leisure environment and love leading teams while enhancing guest experiences, this hands-on role is perfect for you.



As our Assistant Activity & Leisure Manager, you’ll collaborate closely with the Activity & Leisure Manager to ensure our swimming pool and activity operations run safely, smoothly, and to the highest standards. Your leadership will help create a fun and engaging atmosphere for guests of all ages!



What You Will Be Doing...


*
Delivering Excellence: Support the swimming pool and activities programme, ensuring outstanding guest service.


*
Staffing Support: Prepare and manage weekly staffing rotas in line with operational needs and compliance requirements.


*
Safety First: Ensure guest and team safety by adhering to all health & safety, safeguarding, and operational procedures.


*
Maintenance Matters: Assist in maintaining pool plant equipment, promptly reporting issues to ensure safe and efficient operations.


*
Water Quality Control: Conduct water quality and chemical testing, taking corrective actions as needed and maintaining accurate records.


*
Operational Procedures: Follow correct opening and closing procedures for pool facilities, plant rooms, and equipment.


*
Guest Relations: Handle guest feedback and complaints, ensuring quick and positive resolutions.


*
Team Development: Supervise, coach, and develop leisure and lifeguard teams, contributing to regular 1-2-1s and ongoing performance support.




About You...


*
Qualifications: A valid NPLQ Lifeguard qualification, or you are a strong swimmer willing to achieve it.


*
Experience: Background in supporting or managing a team within leisure, hospitality, or a customer-focused environment.


*
Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to build positive relationships with team members and guests.


*
Commercial Awareness: Understanding of guest experience and operational efficiency.


*
First Aid: A First Aid at Work qualification (desirable).


*
Additional Qualifications: Pool Plant Operations or Lifeguard Trainer Assessor qualifications (desirable).


*
Flexibility: Willingness to work varied shifts including weekends, evenings, and bank holidays.


*
Mindset: A friendly, guest-focused attitude and a passion for delivering exceptional leisure experiences.
