What’s The Role
As the Southern North Sea Dispatcher (SNS), you will join the Onshore Plants team, leveraging your background in operations and strong commercial acumen to optimize the value chain in the SNS. You will work within a small, dynamic team, utilizing your analytical and problem-solving skills. Your role is based at the continuously manned United Kingdom Dispatching and Coordination Centre (UKDCC) and follows a shift pattern of 7 night shifts (1900-0700hrs), 1 day leave, 7 day shifts (0700-1900 hrs), and 20 days leave.

This position is part of the One Gas West asset organization. Please note, Shell announced the sale of this asset to RockRose Energy Limited, a subsidiary of Viaro Energy, effective 30th July 2024. The successful candidate's employment will transfer to Viaro Energy under TUPE regulations at project completion, estimated for Autumn 2025. Further details will be provided during the recruitment process.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Overseeing operations of the Southern North Sea, managing dispatch activities, and coordinating emergency responses.
* Ensuring non-discriminatory activities concerning owners and JV partners.
* Optimizing throughput to maximize company profitability.
* Daily dispatching of nominated sales gas to shippers.
* Monitoring gas sales quality to National Grid infrastructure.
* Coordinating shutdown and maintenance activities.
* Managing hydrocarbon allocation and pipeline/emergency responses.
What You Bring
* Experience in control room operations.
* Teamwork, confidentiality, and trustworthiness.
* Ability to issue gas forecasts and operate dispatching systems.
* Proactive decision-making skills to avoid penalties.
* Effective communication skills—both written and verbal.
* Analytical skills and problem-solving focus.
* Knowledge of Process Book and Petroleum Open Learning modules is advantageous.
