Job Description
Contribute to the effective management of an educational establishment to benefit children and the wider community. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and guidance issued by the Scottish Government and East Ayrshire Council. Support the promotion, delivery, and integration of the Council's key objectives, specifically related to the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement, Children and Young Person's Service Plan, and Best Value.
Requirements
The duties involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants must become a PVG Scheme member or have an existing PVG Scheme Record Update before a formal job offer is made. PVG records are updated regularly, and any relevant disclosures will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

The Individual
This is a temporary, full-time position based at Mount Carmel Primary School, Kilmarnock, working 35 hours per week under the direction of the Line Manager. The successful candidate should hold a Catholic Teaching Certificate and seek RC approval. The salary is £66,606 per annum. The contract lasts until 26th June 2026.
