Maintenance Engineer - Facilities, Engineering

Temporary to Permanent position.
Continental Shifts: 12 hours x 2 days and 2 nights on, 4 days off etc.
The company is a leading UK engineering business specialising in major mechanical and electrical installations within the food and beverage manufacturing industry. The huge range of work carried out by the company includes pipework and plant installations, planned and preventive maintenance, facilities management along with a variety of other engineering services. This is a fantastic opportunity for a maintenance engineer to join the company's Facilities Engineering Team supporting a high-profile facilities management contract in Towcester, NN12 8EQ.
Duties for the Maintenance Engineer:
As a suitably qualified and experienced maintenance engineer, you will be working on site at a major manufacturing facility in Towcester. Primary responsibility will be to work within the hard services facilities team carrying out planned, preventive and reactive mechanical maintenance to engineering assets across the site. Specific duties for the Maintenance Engineer will include regular checks to boilers, humidifiers, primary water supplies, secondary water supplies and plant room. Although the work is predominantly mechanically biased there will be some electrical works including 1st line electrical response to breakdowns and basic electrical works including disconnecting machines. Other general works for the Maintenance Engineer will include periodic inspection and compliance checks for example chemical sampling, changing AC filters, checking Ph levels along with basic building fabric maintenance like changing light bulbs, emulsion painting, changing locks and hanging notice boards.
About You as a Maintenance Engineer:
Based ideally in Northamptonshire or Warwickshire you will need to live within a commutable distance of NN12 8EQ.
Demonstrable experience within an industrial machine maintenance environment, ideally within the food and beverage industry with a strong mechanical engineering background is essential for this Maintenance Engineer role. Full training will be given on the scheduled and routine maintenance required for each
Electrically or Mechanically qualified to C&G level 3 is preferred.

In return for your experience, you will receive a basic salary between £35,000 and £40,000 plus a 20% salary uplift (£48,000) for shift allowance, overtime for shift cover and premiums for on-call as well as a range of other benefits.
