Title: Audit Manager
Reporting Line: Reporting to Partner
Location: Loughton, Essex (Hybrid & Agile Working Available)
Salary: £65,000 - £72,000 per annum
Role Summary
A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Audit Manager to take ownership of a varied portfolio of clients and play a key leadership role within a professional audit and accountancy team. This position offers a blend of technical responsibility, client engagement, team leadership, and involvement in business development activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of audit and accountancy assignments
* Plan, oversee, and complete audit engagements
* Support Partners with client service delivery and job planning
* Allocate and manage staff across assignments
* Lead client meetings and maintain strong client relationships
* Liaise with client finance teams and internal departments
* Supervise and develop audit team members and trainees
* Monitor WIP and ensure timely billing
* Contribute to networking and business development initiatives
* Handle ad-hoc assignments and departmental responsibilities as needed
Candidate Requirements
* ACA or ACCA qualified, with strong technical skills
* Solid audit experience across a range of industries
* Previous experience in a Mid-Tier Practice is essential
* Proven ability to manage a portfolio of clients
* Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and auditing standards
* Experience leading and developing audit teams
* Proficient in accounting software; knowledge of Sage, Xero, and CaseWare is advantageous
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Full UK driving licence and access to a car required
