Role Description
This is an on-site, full-time role for a Head Chef located in Cambridge. The Head Chef will oversee daily kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation. Responsibilities include managing kitchen staff, maintaining inventory and food quality, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards, and controlling food costs. The Head Chef will be expected to lead by example, uphold the highest quality standards, and contribute to the success of the culinary team while delivering exceptional dining experiences for guests.
Qualifications
Strong culinary skills, including expertise in menu planning, food preparation, and plating techniques
Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities, including the ability to guide, train, and motivate a kitchen team
Understanding of food safety, hygiene regulations, and quality standards to ensure compliance and exceptional performance
Proficiency in cost control, inventory management, and ensuring optimal use of supplies
Adaptability, creativity, and a strong work ethic to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment
A recognized culinary qualification and significant hands-on experience in kitchen and team management roles
Previous experience in the hospitality industry, particularly in hotel operations, is advantageous
