About the Role
As Area Catering Manager, you'll oversee between 6-10 sites within garden centres and retail coffee shops, ensuring every location not only meets but exceeds customer expectations. You'll report to an experienced Operations Manager and play a vital role in shaping daily operations and leading talented teams.
What You'll Be Doing
* Oversee day‑to‑day operations across multiple sites from the East Midlands to Hull.
* Build strong, trusted partnerships with suppliers and senior management.
* Inspire, motivate, and coach catering teams to deliver the very best in food service standards.
* Act as a vital link between sites and Head Office functions such as HR, Accounts, and Purchasing.
* Monitor site performance and drive continual improvements in quality and service.
* Resolve problems quickly to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.
* Provide additional cover at sites as required.
What We're Looking For
* Proven multi‑site management experience in catering or chef management.
* Self‑motivated, resilient, and highly organised, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
* A passion for fresh, locally sourced food and delivering exceptional customer service.
* Inspirational leadership skills with the ability to unite and develop teams.
* Strong communication skills, both internally and client‑facing.
* Sound financial understanding, with experience of producing reports.
* A hands‑on, solutions‑focused approach – someone who leads by example.
* A genuine passion for developing others and nurturing success across multiple sites.
